WOW what an amazing dental practice -Totally transformed my smile!From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by such a friendly reception team (I am quite a nervous patient, so this really does help), to then have this same kind and caring manor brought through into the dental room by the team there.The staff are very thorough, and take their time in communicating with you about all options and give dental advice without being condescending.After I had my front crowns replaced and 2 veneers added, my smile really was truly transformed and now I always get comments on how lovely my teeth look. I have been waiting for a tooth to be removed since March 2019. My dentist have been really bad and not giving me any idea how long. I was in agony so i contacted 740 dental at 8:30. They agreed to see me at 10:40, just had to have my X-rays sent over due to being pregnant. The receptionist was so friendly and so supportive she went above and beyond to sort this out. I was seen by Halderthay and he was amazing, made me feel at ease and was so reassuring throughout. The care and support I have had from here I would definitely recommend. I am now pain free. I can't say how happy I am to recommend 740 Dental. After over 10 years of dentistry abroad, recent experiences brought me back to the UK and to the best Dental Surgery. They are technologically advanced with pain free anesthesia and outstanding design and production of crowns. The staff from the Reception Staff to medical staff are both professional and kind. My Surgeons Sharon and Andrew are by far the most genuinely lovely and caring people who treat everyone with respect and involve you in decisions. I cant recommend this surgery enough. Sharon is SO wonderful with patients who are terrified. She tells you what she's going to do at every stage, gives you little breaks to stay calm and is always very reassuring. Kate the hygienist is kinder than every other one I've ever seen. when it hurts, she works on another area for a couple of seconds, allowing you to cope with it in short bursts. It honestly makes so much difference. I also must mention that the reception team are really friendly too. I also bring my 6 year old son here and they are fabulous with him. Highly recommended, and I HATE going to the dentist!

I have a phobia of dentists and avoid them unless I'm in serious pain. I've never felt at ease in the chair.
I contacted 740 Dental as I saw they could help with nervous patients.
As soon as I entered reception, I was put at ease (given an elastic band to fidget with which worked a treat) and then accompanied upstairs to the Dentist. Sharon was perfect! Friendly, explained everything she was doing as she was doing it and gave lots of praise. I felt very comfortable during the examination, and that's never happened to me before.
I came back a few weeks later to have a tooth extraction under sedation which was fantastic! Everything explained to me, the anaesthetist was very calming and gentle. The whole experience was fantastic.
I feel comfortable going back for check ups and further treatment, and I never thought I'd find a dentist that I would want to visit unless I'm in extreme pain.

I visited 740 Dental for the first time today and was extremely impressed with the check up and care I received from James along with his Dental Nurse Lisa. They both were very friendly and made me feel at ease having gone to the Dentist with a gum problem that I had never experienced before.
The surroundings were very calming and James explained every step of the check up, answered all my queries and concerns and put my mind at rest. I left my appointment satisfied with clarity and aftercare. It is clear that James and Lisa are a great duo who work very professionally together.

I have been in agony with toothache for 3 weeks I am petrified of the dentist I saw Sharon a 740 dentist this morning and I can not rate them enough , she was so lovely she is the only person that has ever been able to remove a tooth with out sedation so that makes her a very special lady as I’m a nightmare, If anyone suffers from anxiety of going to the dentist then this is the place you need to go all staff seemed very friendly and make you relaxed

I want to say a massive thank you to Mr Andrew Prynne for fixing up my molars.
I had a five year gap where I didn’t go to the dentist, ( personal reasons were there.) Dr Prynne had to do miracles to get me back to where I was, and now after 4 crowns, I feel fantastic. I was amazed at how today’s technology and of course Dr Prynne’s know how, has made my crowns feel and look like they were totally my own, perfect. I can now eat properly again.
Apart from me being truly ecstatic about my teeth, ( & that’s no understatement,) my treatment while having it done was surprisingly pain free, I say surprisingly as I expected to even feel the little needle at beginning, but not even that.
I chilled and actually enjoyed it. I felt like I’d been to a pamper day.
I can’t thank Dr Prynne enough, not only is he a wonderful kind conscientious dentist, who knows his job with precision, but he’s also a smashing person and you couldn’t help feel at ease with him & his lovely assistant.

I honestly could not reccomend 740 Dental highly enough. I am a really anxious patient as I've had horrible experiences in the past, which ended with me not going to the dentist for 10 years! Last year I decided to face my fears and came here, and I am so glad that I did. I got sedation for a filling last year, and today have just had a filling with no sedation, which I never thought I'd be able to do! It was a GREAT experience with absolutely no pain at all. Previously I used to break down crying in a filling! Richard, who I went to, really took the time to listen to my fears, and with loads of patience helped me through the process. If you really hate and fear the dentist, please please book an appointment here and you WILL be able to get over them. The cost is a lot more than NHS, but honestly - it is seriously worth every penny in my opinion. Their reception staff are also super lovely too! Thank you 740, I am so grateful.

Calm atmosphere. Modern furnishings and professional service from all the staff. James is my dentist and he is always smiling and chatty. Everyone is welcoming. We've been at this practice since it was NHS and I was a baby ( im now 23) and we wouldn't go anywhere else.
I'd much rather pay for a very good service than go cheaper and may not get the amount of attention these guys give to their clients.
Always leave feeling well looked after.
I've had a few fillings and the staff make sure that I feel calm and relaxed at all times (I hate needles) and also had 6 teeth out for braces nearly 10 years ago and was very happy with everything.
Would recommend to anyone who wants to be well taken care of and feel like they are cared about.
Who likes the dentist though hey.. 😉

I was searching for a dentist to help me fix/remove a broken tooth for 3+ years but because of the pandemic no one was taking new patients and I contacted 30+ practises private and NHS.Every day on my way to work I pass 740 and realised I haven’t tried them and by miracle they did take me on and every step has been fantastic!I let them know I was a nervous patient and I couldn’t have felt more calm and cared for in my life! Sharon Halderthay looked after me on all 3 of my visits and I couldn’t recommend her higher!! Even my partner is going to join the practice on the back of my praises and I come from a luxury retail background so to me customer service is what gains your customers trusts and builds a relationship that can last years! In June 2023, my husband saw Laura one of the Hygienists. He is not a confident patient and has had bad experiences at other dentists/hygienists. He was expecting to have his teeth or gums numbed so as not to feel pain which he had experienced before. Laura was very calm and reassuring and commenced her treatment. The *Feel No Pain Dentistry Six Step Process

Step# 1 – When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by Richard or your dentist. They will then introduce you to your anaesthetist who is going to administer the sedation

Step# 2 – Before we start you’ll have a chat with us and we’ll explain exactly what’s going to happen

Step# 3 – The anaesthetist will then go through some brief instructions with you along with a review of your medical history, just make sure that everything’s okay for the procedure

Step# 4 – We will then take you to the dental room where you’ll be made comfortable. Then you’ll be given the sedation and when you are fully relaxed the procedure will begin

Step# 5 – Afterwards you’ll be taken into a separate room where you’ll be able to relax and come round from the procedure

Step# 6 – Finally, when you’re feeling back to your normal self we’ll be able to go through any instructions and give you some advice before we safely send you home with whoever brings you in

So What Is Sedation Dentistry?

Some patients need a little extra help to undergo dental treatment. For those nervous patients, conscious sedation is available. This induces a state of ‘deep calm’, allowing everybody the opportunity to have the smile they desire. For very nervous patients we can offer sedation, intravenous sedation, taking the anxiety out of the treatment.

Conscious sedation allows even the most nervous of patients to undergo any dental treatment. Sedation dentistry enables you to be kept awake throughout the entire procedure, but you will feel relaxed and likely won’t remember much about your treatment.

Our goal is to make your procedure painless and to also make it so you’re not aware what’s going whilst remaining conscious. Less than an hour later you can walk out the building with a friend or family member having experienced a treatment that otherwise you wouldn’t be able to go through.

One of the major benefits of sedation dentistry is that people often feel like their dental procedure lasts only a few minutes, when in fact it might have taken hours to perform.
