James Coupe partner & Dentist
James was born in Aylesbury and as child was brought up in the market town of Thame in Oxfordshire.
After leaving school James went to London University to study dentistry at Guy’s Hospital. Inspired by his tutors James developed interests in providing intricate treatments for gums, providing dental implants and aesthetic treatments.
He went on to do further postgraduate diplomas at the Eastman Dental Institute in London and trained with Professor Chanavas of Lille University to develop his knowledge on dental implants. Other areas of dental interest are orthodontics and sleep medicine.
In search to be closer to the sea James moved from London in 1998 to work in Ferndown, then made a further leap to be even closer to the sea to take up partnership at 740 Dental in 2008.
James is married to Catherine who he met at Guy’s Hospital, Catherine is a doctor and they have two children Daniel and Freya.
As a family they all enjoy sailing, most of their weekends in the summer are spent on the water. As the children have been growing up they have spent much time teaching them how to sail which has proved to be rewarding as they now race dinghies on their own.
When the weather is less inspiring for sailing they go walking in the Purbecks, cycling in the New Forest and like visiting Cornwall in hope to improve their surfing.
