Throughout our lives most people will undergo some restoration treatment for teeth that have been damaged or lost through dental decay or chipped in accidents. Restorative treatments can also be used to improve the appearance of your smile by closing gaps, repairing chips or cracks and treating discoloured or unsightly teeth.

As part of our investment in technology, we have purchased a Cerec machine, which allows us to make a new crown or white filling during your appointment, avoiding the need for further visits, injections or uncomfortable impression material in the mouth.

Crowns are a porcelain or metal cover for damaged or unsightly teeth. Porcelain crowns are carefully crafted to look natural and blend in with the rest of your teeth.

Bridges can be used to firmly fit a replacement tooth or teeth, which are carefully attached to adjacent teeth.

Dentures in metal or acrylic are used to replace lost or missing teeth. Their appearance can be changed to make them more natural looking to help them blend in with the rest of your teeth.

Implants - A dental implant is an artificial tooth, which looks and works like the real thing and can be used to restore your smile by permanently replacing one or more missing teeth. An artificial titanium root-form replaces the root of a missing tooth. It can be placed in either the upper or lower jaw and will bond with a patient’s jawbone.

Dental implants can also save healthy teeth by eliminating the need to grind down healthy tooth tissue, a process that is required by traditional bridgework. They are available to most people aged over 18 and have been used since the 1960s. They remain the most effective and longest lasting solution available and can improve appearances because when teeth are lost the jawbone shrinks, causing signs of ageing.
